HKSTP Global Internship Programme 2025

 

The HKSTP Global Internship Programme 2025 offers overseas young talents real-world experience in Hong Kong's Innovation and Technology sector. Immerse yourself in one of not many collaborative efforts by 20+ world-class institutions, where you can meet like-minded individuals worldwide, connect with a holistic network of tech professionals, and gain exposure to Asia’s largest tech ecosystem, all aimed at enhancing your global career prospects.

 

We are excited to introduce a NEW opportunity this year which is also extended to our Global Interns: HKSTP Tech & Venture Internship, where you will gain a unique experience across the tech ecosystem, from practical R&D to the investment landscape, with placements at VC firms and their portfolio companies in one summer.

 

We welcome undergraduate and postgraduate international students to explore internship placements that align with your interests and academic backgrounds.

 

 

Programme Highlights

 

Gain exciting internship experience in the positions of AI/ Biomedical/ Data/ Engineering, etc., at HKSTP or one of its affiliated companies

Immerse yourself in HKSTP’s international talent community, connecting with start-up founders, industry leaders, and peers through training workshops, Greater Bay Area tech trip (Guangzhou or Shenzhen, etc), and networking events

For those interested in the Tech & Venture Internship, you will:

Working along with venture capital investors to gain investment strategies for the first 1-2 months

Follow that with another 1-2 months of hands-on R&D at portfolio companies within HKSTP

Who Are We Looking For?

 

Current undergraduates and postgraduates from all over the world (may need to apply for visa/entry permit to work in Hong Kong, supported by HKSTP and employers)

With academic disciplines in Engineering, Computer Science and Life Science, or related disciplines

 

 

Programme Timeline

 

Application Period:  December 2024 – January 2025

Application Deadline: 31 January 2025 23:59 (UTC+8)

Matching & Interview: January 2025 – March 2025

Offer & Visa Application: April 2025 – May 2025

Pre-trip Briefing & Onboarding: June 2025 – July 2025 (Please ensure that you are available to work in Hong Kong for the entire month of JULY)

Programme Duration

Global Internship: 1.5 – 3 months placement at HKSTP or one of its affiliated companies

Tech & Venture Internship: 1 – 2 months placement at a venture capital firm and 1 – 2 months placement at a portfolio company of the venture capital firm
